1.interest作品和物動詞。
①interestsb.意為“讓某人感興趣，引起某人的注意”。如:
Geographydoesn’tinteresthim.
地理學不能引起他的興趣。
②interestsb.in(doing)sth.意為“使某人在……方面感興趣”。如:
Hetriedtointerestmeinbuyingthehouse.
他想說服我買這所房子。
2.作名詞interest。
①意為“興趣”常作無數名詞。常見短語show//haveinterestin(doing)sth.,意為“對……表現出/感興趣”。如:
Sheshowedgreatinterestinthemeeting.
她對這次會議表現出極大的興趣。
②意為“業余愛好”或“感興趣的事”常作可數名詞。例如：
Hehastwogreatinterests.Oneissportsandtheotherismusic.
他有兩種愛好：一種是體育，另一種是音樂。
3.interested是形容詞，常用結構beinterestedin(doing)sth.意為“對(做)……感興趣”,主語是人。例如：
Johnisinterestedinhistory.約翰喜歡歷史。
Heisinterestedindrawingpictures.
他對繪畫很感興趣。
4.interesting也是形容詞，意思是“有趣的”,既可以作表語，也可以作定語。例如：
Thestoryisveryinteresting.這個故事很有趣。
Thisisaninterestingmovie.這是一部有趣的電影。
